Rumer Morrison
I have never met a person who can light up a room with her personality, smile, beauty and grace. Rumer was a blast to be around. She was so kind to everyone she met. She had a bond with my daughter Alexis, that will never be forgotten. When we found out about Rumer's cancer, the world seemed to have paused for her family, friends, coaches and classmates. I have never seen a community and a sport come so closely together. I will never forget the morning we lost Rumer in 2019. My heart was devastated for her mom and brother. The past couple of years I have learned life is way too short. Live each day as we are not promised tomorrow. Make those memories with your friends and family. Get out to travel, explore, and stare at the beautiful world. Capture it all!
We are so excited to launch Rumer's line. With the help of her amazing mom and brother, Trysh and Chance, we have worked with a designer to put her drawings onto apparel. For each purchase made from this line, 20% of the proceeds will go to Doernbecher's Children's Hospital.
A few words from her loving family:
It has been years now since Rumer had left us but it feels just like yesterday we were in the presence of her grace, her will, her laugh and smile.
The excitement that her skill brought to lacrosse games and her humanity towards fellow players put her passion on display. Stories from those who received her support and kind words when they needed help revealed her heart. Her schooling to become a nurse and to help those who were vulnerable showed her goodwill. Every day spent with her loved ones, friends, and acquaintances gave us her sweet disposition… Not to mention the fiery attitude that was unique to her.
Seeing all the good in Rumer is easy for us, but she held herself to a high standard. Her drive was fueled by the need for self-improvement which she made vulnerable to us in her writings. The reality of her situation was solaced by the wisdom beyond her years that it had brought to her. Instead of dwelling on what had been taken from her and what else she might be losing she recognized all of the blessings, the joys, and the beautiful relationships that she had.
While Rumer’s good left undone is to be lamented, her time with us is to be treasured and her impact has left her with all of us in our own ways. Whether the pieces are big or small, the ups along with the downs, she is here today and into tomorrow.
“Thank you, Universe and Spirit, for all of these beautiful things.”
